Can You Change the Immigration Court Location?
Based on 8 C.F.R. § 1003.20(b) of the Code of Federal Regulations, an immigration judge has the ability to change the venue of your case, if you demonstrate good cause. Certain factors that are relevant toward relocation are:

- Cost of transporting witnesses
- Expeditious treatment of your case
How Do I Change my Immigration Court Location?
In order to properly request a change in the location of your immigration court hearing, you must file a Motion to Change Venue with the respective court where your hearing is scheduled. By adhering to all of the requirements in the Immigration Court Practice Manual, providing a valid reason for requesting a change of venue, and filing the document on time (at least 15 days prior to your scheduled court date), you are eligible to conduct such a motion.
